For our organs to work, and our cells to live, they have to be kept with in a set of conditions. In homeostasis, the internal conditions of the body are kept constant. That way, all the systems of your body can function properly. Additionally, the ability to keep homeostasis is essentatial for survival and health.
2. Give three examples of ways your skin helps maintain homeostasis in your body.

- Seat glands produce sweat as a response to hot outer conditions in order to keep inner temperature.
- The skin serves as a physical barrier against dirt, viruses, and harmful microorganisms that may infect and harm the body.
- The skin provides insulation from extreme outer temperatures and cushion to avoid physical injury of organs.
