Health Blog!

Welcome students to our class blog. We will be using this space for class discussions to examine, evaluate, and share knowledge. Discussions provide opportunities for students to think critically on the topics we will be learning about in Health class. Concepts, assignments, and readings will be used as the basis for our discussions to create a positive learning community in which students are willing to share their ideas and to accept constructive criticism from their peers.

Concept Check 27.3

1. Homeostasis is very important in the body functioning. It is the proces in which the body mantains its temperature. This is important because the body´s temperature doesnt change, no matter what happens outside, so we are not affected that much about the outside temperature

2. The lungs are an example of an organ that exchanges cheimicals. The lungs, take oxygen from the air and turn it into carbon dioxide that they later release into the atmosphere. The oxygen stays and carbon dioxide leaves so there is the exchange

3.Our skin helps the body make homeostasis in many ways. First, the skin covers the internal organs, so they are protected and heated if the outside temperature changes. also, when the temperature inside increases too much, the skin makes the sweat leafe the body and the temperature gets regulated. Finally, the skin has the hair which also help to warm up the body when its too cold.

4. On a cold day, the body mantains its temperature with help from the skin. When the body feels old, the skin contracts and hairs rise and try to get the warm particles. this process is a goosebump
